Why a VPS built for futures
A futures platform is not a MetaTrader. Tick charts, depth of market, volume profile and automated strategies keep the processor busy all session long, and every extra chart takes its share of RAM.
That is why NinjaTrader VPS plans start at 3 vCores at 3.4 GHz with 6 GB of RAM and go up to 8 vCores and 16 GB. With this kind of software, the speed of each core matters before the number of cores.
Meanwhile your own PC stays free. The platform runs in the data centre; you open it over Remote Desktop from wherever you are and find it exactly as you left it.

You are the administrator: install the platform you prefer, with your own licences, add-ons and the data feed you already use.
Using NinjaTrader from a Mac? With a VPS you can. NinjaTrader Desktop and Quantower exist for Windows only. On the VPS they run on a real Windows, and you open them from your Mac with Windows App, Microsoft’s free app. The steps are the same as in our MetaTrader on Mac guide.

NinjaTrader recommends a quad-core processor and 8 GB of RAM, which is our Standard plan. Basic Plus is recommended for a single chart; Standard for multiple charts and automated strategies; Professional for multi-monitor setups and copy trading; Dedicated for when speed and performance come first. You can start small and move up later.
Yes, as long as you close the Remote Desktop window without signing out of Windows. The session stays open on the server with the platform and your strategies running. When you reconnect, everything is as you left it.
Yes. You have administrator access and can install any Windows trading software: NinjaTrader 8, ATAS, Quantower, MotiveWave, TradeStation, R|Trader Pro and the add-ons you already use. ATAS and Quantower want more memory, so we suggest starting from the Standard plan (8 GB of RAM) or higher.
